• W³oc³awek is a land county located in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship (Province). It is situated on the Vistula River, at the estuary of the river Zg³owi±czka, below the dam which creates W³oc³awskie Lake. It is the biggest and the most important town of the Kujawy Region. The passenger harbour and river port are located in W³oc³awek. In 1969, W³oc³awek Hydro-electric Power Station was established; the town is also industrial (among many: chemical, food, metal and pottery industries), cultural, administration and service centre.
  
  The origins of the town date back to the 10th century, however, the archaeological traces suggest that the settlement of the Lusatian Culture was establihed over 3000 yeras ago.
