Wladyslawowo
- Władysławowo is a town situated in Swarzewska Kępa, 33 kilometers from Hel Peninsula; Władysławowo commune stretches from Chałupy, through Chłapowo and Rozewie, to Karwia.
The first references regarding the settlements - from which Władysławowo was founded - date back to 1277 (Cetniewo) and 1284 (Wielka Wieś). It was in the same year, 1284, when the Pomeranian Duke Mestwin II gave as a present the settlment know as "Velaves" to the knight Piotr Głabusza.
Building of the fishing harbour begun in the spring of 1936. During the grand opening of the port which was held on May 3, 1938 the facility was named Władysławowo in honour of King Ladislaus IV.
In the spring of 1936, the cornerstone for the parish was consecrated. Unfortunately the outbreak of the war frustrated many plans and intentions.
