• Wałbrzych is a land county situated in Dolnośląskie Voivodeship (Lower Silesia Province). The city is located on the Pełcznica River in the Wałbrzych Mountains. Wałbrzych is the largest porcelain manufacturer in Poland. In 1997 Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone was establihed; the purpose of the zone is to help to restructure the industry in the city and to enable the development of the modern economy. The city has been trying to become one of the cultural, administrative and tourist centres of the voivodeship.
