Bielsko-Biala
- Bielsko - Biała is an administrative, industrial and cultural centre of the Podbesidzie Region which comprises five smaller geographical regions: Beskid ¦l±ski, Mały, Żywiecki, Makowski and Podgórze ¦l±skie. The city is situated on the Biała River in Pogórze ¦l±skie, 310m over the sea level.
Bielsko - Biała is known as "The Town of a Hundred Industries". It grows dynamically and the unemployment level is one of the lowest in Poland. Bielsko-Biała Cartoon Studio produced the most popular Polish cartoons for children, among many "Bolek i Lolek" (in English known as Bennie and Lennie) and "Reksio".
Before it was incorporated in 1951, the city existed as two separate towns Bielsko and Biała. Bielsko received town rights in 1312. Biała was granted town status in 1732.
